Day Trip to the Genting Highlands

On the 6th of May 2017 , we took a trip to the exquisite Genting Highlands.

We first took the train to KL Sentral ( a hub of all the trains and buses in Kuala Lumpur), from there we got the bus to the Genting Highlands ( RM12 for a return trip) , once we arrived at the station there , we bought our tickets for the cable car

(RM 16) that would take us to the top of the highlands where there is a beautiful shopping centre called Sky Avenue... You really do feel like you're on cloud 9!

We had lunch at a restuarant called Madame Kwan , which is quite popular amongst the locals, reasonably priced and authentic. I had their noodles with chicken and prawns , and they were absolutely delicious and have a little bite!!

After lunch we got the cable car back down to see Chin Swee Cave Temple which was so beautiful and I can honestly say that seeing it took my breath away. On the way down to the temple we were in the cable car with a group of Indonesian people and they were so intrigued with us and wanted to take pictures with us... It was all fun and games until we nearly couldn't get out of the cable car to see the temple!

It was a surreal feeling to be so high up in the clouds and be able to take in such beauty. This day , this temple and this experience made me fall in love with Asia.

After we had seen the temple , we got the cable car back to the Genting Highlands station and then we got an uber the strawberry farm. We saw some beautiful flowers and of course got some strawberries.

It was honestly a photographers dream and I had to take as many photo's as possible!!

After that , we made our way back to the station and waited for our bus back to KL Sentral... Everything ran smoothly and on time! Public transport in Malaysia is like no other.

This was a trip I'll never forget. Beautiful sites, delicious food and friendly people. What more could you want?
